Tales of Berseria - Menu button is stupid, it should go back to being triangle - Velvet's combat is very button-mashing, not bad but... and she's invincible! - Malakhim sounds dangerously close to Moloch, kinda scary - The Danann Highway references Tuatha de Danann - Actual demons are referenced by Magilou's earrings! - The game is plain Satanic, playing as evil villains, justifying sins - No overworld still sucks - Expeditions are mobile game shit, like garrisons in WoW, I'd rather do the missions/explore - After battle dialogue is worse than Zestiria, kinda boring and repetitive - Malakh Art animations are cool, but clutter the screen badly - Dungeons are still linear, boring, and full of pointlessly simple puzzles - The game is way too linear in general - Inoph Bottles are useless because every dungeon has a warp - Laphicet is a nice, friendly character but he's shota instead of loli... lucky boy! - Kamoana is weird and her voice is TERRIBLE! - The acetite or whatever items to increase smithing come too late into the game + Most characters, even side ones, are full of soul and life, especially compared to Zestiria + Great designs too + Skills are handled better, you're always swapping equipment to learn new ones + Being a prequel to Zestiria makes it worth playing the previous game + References to Symphonia/Phantasia?!, is this a far in the future sequel? + Code Red daemons are fun fights with GOOD rewards + Music is okay, better than Zestiria + Velvet is an actually interesting protagonist AND super hot! + Eleanor is an apology for no Alisha in Zestiria + Rokurou's background is cool and he's just a real bro all around + Eizen is dry and kind of autistic, strangely amusing + Manann Reef reminds me of Freddi Fish + All the cool side characters like Dyle, Kurogane, Percival, etc + Bienfu is annoying but he's more fun than, say, Mieu + The big twist toward the end about Innominat is tragic and terrible + The end is both terribly depressing yet awe-inspiringly hopeful + Cool final battle + It seems almost nothing is missable except a few trophies + Grade is easy to farm with Dire Foes + Controlling the camera in battle prevents messed up perspectives
