I haven't updated the website lately because I've been busy playing doing 3 things: a long playthrough of Tales of Symphonia, lots of WoW on the Chromiecraft private server, and more recently, 2007-era Runescape on 4chan's Vidyascape server. It's a real headscratcher why more people don't play on vscape. In world chat they said maybe it's the slurs people yell and that's so fucking dumb. Are people so fragile they can't handle clicking on a built-in ignore button if they don't like someone saying naughty words? There is no other server like this, with all the quests working properly. The only things I think are missing are achievement diaries but I'm not sure if they're accurate to 2007 in the first place. I only played a few months in 2007 and was a f2p only back then, so I wouldn't know. What I do know is everything is working great (except when you kill chickens, you dance around and can't stay still). The server is 2.25x XP rate which is pretty cool but I wanted to taste the pain so I made a Hardcore Ironmeme to really get the "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy" experience, if you know what I mean. I might make an alt and just cut wood or something for fun. I always liked skillers. Anyways, I'll be chronicling the journey of my helmie Scarlatti (named after the Baroque composer). Odel the server guy added worlds right around the time I started working on Farming. So far it has been incredible for selling to general stores as an ironman. It's really hard to make any money without worldhopping. It's still hard because there are only 3 worlds and timers for switching! And I'm paranoid about setting off some bot/automation system for doing it too much. I got banned in OSRS back in 2016 because my shitty laptop and internet was lagging so badly I got frustrated and clicked to log in 100 times real fast and it set off the bot detector. I learned right then that Jagex was the worst video game company in the world because they had ZERO recourse or customer service unless you use fucking Twitter or Reddit which sucks ass. After farming a bit (I'd accumulated a lot of potato seeds from pickpocketing), I proceeded to pick flax and make bowstrings a little (only 2k). I wanted to prepare for when my fletching got high enough. It wasn't long until I realized that I was stuck with my Steel Axe for a long time and said fuck it, finishing my WC, FM, and fletching grind at willows. I'd wait for a Mithril Axe at least to move onto maples. On the way I got my first kiss! I really wish I'd get the Leiderhosen random event. That's my favorite costume. After that I discovered the Lost Tribe quest. Never done it before and it was mindboggling to get such a powerful, cheap crossbow! Navigating those tunnels was a lot of fun too, really nervewracking. I've been training Slayer since then and just got done with a 114 Cave Crawlers, getting a Bronze Boots drop too. What's in store for me next with Slayer? I already had to endure 70 Earth Warrior kills that took me 2 hours. I think I'll stop once I reach 40 Slayer.
